I would say that Libs didn’t win the election. People just couldn’t bring themselves to vote ALP for a variety of reasons.

Looking at people who voted away from the major parties in areas like the NSW Hunter, or Adani related Galilee Basin shows there is a gap between voters and political platforms.

Voters in those areas don’t feel they’re being listened to or looked out for; and showed it on Election Day.

Palmer’s and One Nation’s preferences flowing largely to the Coalition is what brought ScoMo to power – not something intrinsic to the Libs themselves.
