Is Japanese GDP per capital declining? PPP adjusted?

Otherwise – the large decline could be in line with population decline and currency fluctuations rather than a faltering economy.

I’d imagine that Americans take issue with the state of their nation because, being a superpower, they expect to be leading the world on key metrics (what’s the benefit of being a superpower otherwise?)
