Mars’ atmospheric pressure is about 1kpa.
The article seems to suggest we should aim for the same amount of pressure as earth (~100 kpa).
My understanding is that this is not required, and we simply need to get to 6kpa for water to be able to stay liquid without boiling off.
It sounds like there is enough CO2 in the polar ice caps and Martian regolith to get to this point?
