That’s a very good point Nehemiah.

As a counterpoint — I would offer an example from recent history.

Humanity went from our first powered flight in 1903 to putting the first man on the moon in just 58 years. In the intervening years — we had not one, but two world wars and the great depression.

Alternatively, we might reach Mars first and then spark the global war.

In either case — it need not be an either/or equation.
