The demographic crunch seems to be a double whammy.

1. It is a hangover from changing societal norms through the one child policy years
2. As countries become more developed, birth rates tend to drop. This would also be happening in China

The solution here might not be to have more children…but other initiatives (increased migration, UBI, etc).
