You're right - the looting and violence is horrible.

Some people are no doubt being opportunistic and others still are being caught up in the mob mentality.

For the most part though - violence is the language of those who have no words, no voices, and no other logical course of action.

The riots themselves may effect some change, but for the most part could be seen as a venting of frustration and cry to be heard.
